The first museum dedicated to the academic life was created in 1951 from an exhibition held by the Academic Association of Coimbra and the Central Committee of the Burning of the Ribbons of 1950. In 1987 the museum began operating in St. Jerome School. Installed in the upper cloister and annexed areas of the college, this space aims to gather, store and disseminate all about the history of academic life, traditions and relations with the University and the city of Coimbra.
