Designed by the architects Souto Moura and Siza Vieira, the Pavilhão Central de Portugal, representing Portugal at Expo 2000 held in Hannover, is currently in the Mondego Green Park in Coimbra, to function as a cultural center, hosting exhibitions, concerts and other events. The pavilion was built essentially with cork and occupies an area of 1,375 square meters.
