The Santana Market, more specifically of Sant’Ana, was designed by Ernesto Korrodi, and built in 1929. The building would serve as the municipal market, until then installed in Rodrigues Lobo Square. It was here that the Santana church and convent existed, which were eventually demolished in 1916. Of these only remained the portals that have been translated and incorporated into the House of Leiria Castle Guard. The space after undergoing restoration work today is the cultural center. The market is currently on Cultural Heritage classification phase.
