The Paço Ducal is a monumental building whose construction began in 1501, by decision of the fourth Duke of Bragança, D. Jaime. Breeding campaigns took place throughout the 16th and 17th centuries. The museum has existed since 1933 to fulfill the will of the last King of Portugal. It currently offers 7 different spaces: Paço Ducal, where you can visit the Noble Floor, where you will find the main residential facilities; the Armory, installed on the ground floor; the Blue and White Porcelain Collection from China; the Treasury and, in the annex, the Carriage Collection which is an annex of the National Coach Museum. In the Castle are installed the collections of Hunting and Archeology.
