The Palace of the Dukes of Bragança is a magnificent example of the 15th century manorial architecture and cradle of the House of Bragança, built by D. Afonso, the first Duke of Bragança. Large building, the Gothic chapel, the "passos perdidos" and the banquet hall deserve special mention. It has a museum where Pastrana's tapestries are worthy of mention, which tell us a few steps of the portuguese achievements in Africa, the core of Flemish tapestries, the furnishings of the post-discovery period and the porcelains and weapons from the 15th to the 19th centuries.
