In São Pedro do Corval is the largest concentration of pottery in Portugal and one of the largest in the Iberian Peninsula. The cement walls with some visible bricks and the roof tiles uncovered leave no doubt about the number of generations that have passed through there. The great strength of the local pottery lies in this knowledge and art from other times that allows to create unique pieces with a unique identity. In the pieces, especially in the dishes, there is a regional theme of figures and flowers; a well-drawn and firm design; a color with strong tones, where blue, yellow and red predominate. A stroll through São Pedro do Corval will allow you to appreciate the art of local artisans in Alentejo's calm.
