Working in the former home of João Gonçalves Zarco, discoverer of Madeira, this space presents a collection of Portuguese and English furniture from the 16th to 19th centuries, whose collection has about 3800 pieces from different countries: Europe, East (China, Japan ), Portugal (including regional pieces), mainly artistic goods - Decorative Arts - although there are small nuclei of archaeological and ethnographic objects. It is possible to appreciate porcelains, silverware, earthenware, sculpture and painting. It integrates elements from the most diverse origins, but especially Churches, Convents, and Public Buildings, some of which date back to the end of the 19th century. XV.
