The Paço (Palace) de São Miguel is a national monument located in the very core of the city of Évora, part of what used to be called the Old Castle. An outside seating area offers a view of the cathedral tower and secluded gardens, set in a backdrop of sun-drenched rooftops stretching along the plains. The uniqueness of this area, a popular draw for locals, is also highlighted by its contemporary lay-out, inspired by the countryside’s soft shades of green, reminiscent of one of the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation’s key products – olive oil. The Páteo de São Miguel Cafeteria also has two interior rooms where you can also enjoy the suggestions of the sweet, savory and various drinks menu.
