The Casa Grande is a beautifull and noble barroque palace, classified as an Heritage Site. It’s located in the historic area of Freixo de Numão. This XIXth century palace has a Rococó style chapel and is one of the most important structures of its kind in the Douro region. The façade is marked by a row of windows with a grand veranda in the middle, just over the main door. Thus determining a simetrical appearance of the building. A stone coat of arms was built over the door and veranda, in rocaille style. Near this building there is also a small chapel, with two fogaréus supporting a niche.
