Despite its particular theme, this museum surprises visitors by various aspects. Its collection of military character, made up of rare pieces that stand out for their artistic value of execution, is exposed in baroque rooms, revealing beautiful ceilings painted in the eighteenth century. There is also a room dedicated to the First World War and a fabulous patio, decorated with panels of tiles by important artists such as Manuel Gustavo Bordalo Pinheiro and Leopoldo Batistini, illustrating some of the country's most historic battles.
