The lush surrounding landscape of this large space invites moments of contemplation and relaxation, but also the practice of playful activities. The Furnas are known for their hot springs and boiling boilers, boiling water geysers and small springs, from which springs mineral waters that leave an orange trail (effect of the large amount of iron). On the banks of the lagoon and due to the boiling volcanic waters, regional dishes are made under the ground with the geothermal heat that derives from these volcanic manifestations.
