Mother Church of Válega (or Church of Our Lady of Amparo), is the maximum exponent of tile coverings in religious temples of the area, thus becoming a true masterpiece in the open. Its interior, also covered with tiles representative of biblical figures and passages, also has beautiful stained glass windows. The tiles are from the "Aleluia Ceramicas" factory, designed by the architect Januário Godinho.
