The Serralves Foundation is a cultural institution of European scope, at the service of the national community, whose mission is to sensitize, create interest in contemporary art and the environment through the Museum of Contemporary Art, designed by the architect Siza Vieira, as a multidisciplinary center of the Park as a natural heritage dedicated to environmental education and animation and a center for reflection and debate on contemporary society. Also not to be missed is the Treetop Walk - a walkway that surrounds one of the woods in Serralves Park, a project that aims to raise awareness among visitors for the protection and preservation of biodiversity.
