This pastry shop, with a cozy and pleasant space, is one of the oldest and most traditional in the region, founded at the beginning of the 20th century, is an expert in the production of Convent Pastry (intensely rich and sweet traditional portuguese desserts/cakes, based on egg yolks and sugar). Of the many regional specialties of Confectionery available, not to be missed: the “Cristas de Galo” and The “pastéis de Santa Clara”. But, because the salty delacacies are also a reference of the pastry shop, here are some suggestions: the “empadas” (small salted pies of meat, shrimp or chicken) and the “Bôla de carne” (bread baked in the oven stuffed with various meats).
